PGA Tour to increase purse sizes for the 2023 season

In a expected move, the PGA Tour will revamp the tour schedule for the 2023 season that will include prize purses of $20 million in at least eight marquee events.

There will also be three new events added to the schedule with no cuts and purses reaching $25 million per event.

“No way to combat that,” the player said. “We know that. But it’s three events for $25 million and it’s not coming out of our pocket. Who’s going to disagree with that?”
